Himalayan challenge : It’s an initiative by the International Services Project of Rotaract Club Chandigarh Himalayan. Himalayan Challenge is a series of challenges under the following three avenues:
~ Vocational Services
~ Club Services
~ Community Services
Various Rotaract Clubs can register themselves online on our website to participate in the same.
The challenge will continue for 20 days and the participating clubs will be given score on the basis of their performance.
Once 20 days gets completed, the club with highest score will be declared as Winner and will be awarded with the Cash Prize. The cash prize will be utilized in a Joint Project.
Objectives of Himalayan Challenge
So, now that you have learned what the Himalayan Challenge is , the obvious question that arises is why should your club participate ?
Well, since the list is quite long we have managed to condense it into 4 points :
▪ Once in a lifetime opportunity: To work hand-in-hand with the largest youth oriented club in the tricity.
▪ Quid pro quo : No matter how big or small you are, the fire to learn shouldn’t stop .The Himalayan Challenge is as big as a chance for your club to learn new things as it is for us . You gain, we gain.
▪ Working towards a common goal : Social welfare is the imperative goal of the challenge and one of the founding pillars of all the NPO clubs. Hence, this would be a splendid opportunity for the clubs to converge their resources and efforts to work towards the same .
▪ The pièce de résistance : All the clubs shall receive recognition certificates for their work with the winning club earning a cash prize for their excellence .

Rotaract Chandigarh Himalayan is the youth wing of the eminent and prestigious Rotary International .
What had originally incepted as an idea to bring together the youth towards the common goal of community welfare and social well-being in 2008 has now grown into the largest youth oriented NPO in Tricity .
With over 700+ active members that thrive to create change not only at a personal level but also at a societal level , the club has come a long way since its infancy .
Rotaract Club Chandigarh Himalayan currently boasts 11 committees in it’s stable and 8 projects that altruistically work towards community betterment everday and help spread the motto of Rotary International – “Fellowship through service” .
